Utah Laser Hair Removal FAQs
Does it hurt?
Some clients experience minor discomfort during their treatments. People compare it to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Everyone handles pain differently and our estheticians are trained to work with our clients to make sure they are comfortable during laser hair removal treatments at our Utah spas.
Can you treat blonde hair?
During your consultation, we will carefully evaluate the color of your skin and hair, and let you know what you can realistically expect. We will make sure you understand the limitations and set expectations. In general, laser hair removal is less effective on body areas with peach fuzz, blonde, red or grey hair.
What does the Brazilian laser hair removal include and does it hurt?
Having laser hair removal on the Brazilian area at our Utah medical spas is a similar to the rest of the bikini line. Brazilian Laser Hair Removal at our Utah locations is an extended version of a bikini treatment–all hair is removed from the sides, labia, & bum area. Many of our patients have said that their underarms were more painful than the Brazilian laser hair treatment area. Again, every person has a different pain threshold so it could differ. Our experienced laser hair removal technicians are trained to keep you as comfortable as possible and will check in with you throughout the process. You should feel a slightly warm, but bearable pinch. Please let your esthetician know if you are uncomfortable and they will adjust the laser settings accordingly.
How many treatments will I need?
Because our hair is not always actively growing, laser hair removal takes more than one treatment. At least 6 treatments are necessary to permanently remove hair from an area but it can vary based on the area, hair type and skin type.
How far apart will my appointments need to be?
Expect to come in for laser hair removal on the face every 4-6 weeks, & the rest of the body every 6-8 weeks.
