Microneedling
Microneedling is an amazing treatment we recommend to almost anyone. It’s a treatment that many clients see results from, even after the first treatment.
Microneedling is a skin-rejuvenating treatment. The microneedling machine uses very small needles to create punctures in the top layer of skin, basically tricking the body to go into repair mode, producing more collagen and sending healing agents to the treatment area. The goal of this treatment is to improve overall texture and appearance. It helps plump the skin by promoting collagen production in the treatment area and celebrities and #skinbosses everywhere are obsessed!
Studies have showed skin treated with four microneedling sessions spaced one month apart produced up to a 400% increase in collagen and elastin six months after completing treatment. You read that right – 400%!!
HOW MANY MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Many of our Utah microneedling clients have shown improvement in overall skin texture and appearance in as little as one treatment. We typically recommend 3 – 4 treatments booked around a month or so apart to achieve optimal results. Once you see the results from microneedling you’ll want to come back for more!
DOES IT HURT?
Everyone’s pain threshold is different, but generally speaking, our Utah microneedling treatments aren’t painful. There are certain sensitive areas on the face that may feel a little funny, or breifly cause a little stinging (like the nose, forehead or upperlip), but the pain generally subsides quickly.
What’s the Downtime?
Downtime on microneedling treatments typically is very quick, it just depends on your skin and how it reacts to the treatment. The skin may be red and a little swollen for a few hours after the treatment and we recommend not touching or applying unapproved product until your skin feels like it’s back to “normal”.
Our Utah microneedling treatments have quickly become a client favorite, and we know why! The results speak for themselves. Check out our Spa Trouvé Instagram page for examples of this great treatment and more!
